Frequently asked questions

Where does my match data come from?

CS2 Coach uses these sources:

• Steam matchmaking — imported automatically after you add your authentication code and a match share code on Match Sources
• FACEIT — synced after you connect your FACEIT account
• Match Lab — demo files (`.dem`) you upload yourself for review and replay

Steam and FACEIT matches appear in Match History. Match Lab uploads stay in Match Lab and do not count toward ratings or stats.

What counts toward my stats?

Stats come from parsed demos in Match History (Steam / FACEIT, and any older History manuals). Match Lab uploads are excluded from your profile, Coach Insights, achievements, and leaderboards.

Rank shown on a match row is your in-game rank at match time (from Steam or FACEIT). CS2 Rating is CS2 Coach’s own performance score from parsed rounds — it is not the same as Valve Premier rating.

Some views filter by game mode (for example Premier only). Wingman and other modes may not appear in every aggregate when a mode filter is applied.

Why does a FACEIT match have no demo?

FACEIT match details can sync even when no demo download is available. Without a demo file, CS2 Coach cannot build full round stats for that match.

If you have the replay saved locally, upload the `.dem` from the match page to unlock analysis.

What is CS2 Rating compared to Premier rank?

• Premier / competitive rank — your rank in-game at the time of the match
• CS2 Rating — CS2 Coach’s performance metric from kills, deaths, ADR, and other stats in parsed demos

Use Premier rank to see rank progression; use CS2 Rating to compare performance across matches.

How do I sign in?

Use an email magic link or Steam on the login page (invite-only). Email is the primary recovery path. Manage linked sign-in methods from the profile menu (avatar) → Account.

How do I change notifications or delete my account?

Open your profile and go to the Settings tab (or use the account menu → Settings).

There you can:

• Turn notifications on or off
• Reset your statistics without deleting your account
• Permanently Delete account, which removes your data from CS2 Coach

Is CS2 Coach affiliated with Valve or FACEIT?

No. CS2 Coach is an independent product and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Valve Corporation or FACEIT Ltd.
